Field Visits (TOR-O/11c & TOR-O/11d)



Two field activities were planned and successfully conducted on 29th and 30th Nov 2014 involving visiting students (50 number with 3-4 academics) from Wayamba University of Sri Lanka (WUSL). The overall programme was partly funded with UDG activity of WUSL under the leadership of Mr. Ajith Jayaweera, Senior Lecture, Department of Livestock & Avian Sciences. Mr. Ajith Jayaweera is known to be an excellent student motivator, and it was a great opportunity to use his presence with his students to engage in two motivational field activities that promote volunteerism, empathy, selflessness, community responsibility, ethnic cohesion and teamwork, etc. under affective domain initiative of QIG/B.Sc.

The overall activities was social and cultural interactive with cooperative field activity.
TOR-O/11c – Field activity at Home for the Aged (29th Nov 2014)
The activity was planned to expose students to an environment where persons anticipate care, affection and volunteer assistance and induce some activity that is of need. About 70 number of selected students from Faculty of Science based on their motivation and desire joined the group from WUSL for the activity.
